# Components

Components in the VRYNT ecosystem are used to build VRYNTs ([NFT's](/vrynt-platform-guide/guides/what-is-an-nft.md)) within collections. 

Collections will have a minimum number of these components that you must hold in order to build and mint an NFT in that collection. These components are determined by the collection creator in [custom collections](/vrynt-platform-guide/guides/creating-a-vrynt-collection/custom-collections.md), and by a VRYNT library in [AI Collections](/vrynt-platform-guide/guides/creating-a-vrynt-collection/ai-collections.md). Some examples of components are; Item, hat, background, mask, expression, body armour, etc. 

These components can be purchased individually on the [marketplace](/vrynt-platform-guide/guides/marketplace.md), and through "[component packs](/vrynt-platform-guide/fundamentals/component-packs.md)". 

Users can view their purchased components in their dashboard, under My Inventory.

Components are collection specific and cannot be used across collections.

When a component is used to MINT an NFT it cannot be used again.  These used components are removed from your dashboard.
